Drawstring Bag

E loves his Cars cars, and he has to take them all when we go places. He tries to carry them all or put them in my diaper bag, so I decided to make him a bag for them. I found a good tutorial here and just made the bag the size that I wanted. I used 1" ribbon for the string. He was really excited to put cars in it - now we just need to find the rest of them!

Hobbes and Halloween

I can't wait for E to be old enough to choose his own costume. I saw this on pinterest, and knew I had to make a Hobbes. E will make a good Calvin with his hair spiky (it'll be just the right length by Halloween) and I have his whole outfit!

This was my first stuffed animal, and probably my last. It was a pain, especially sewing the fleece and doing the hand-sewn bits. I used a little help from here and here. I love him though, and now I just have to hide him until Halloween! E is already trying to pick the eyes off!

Word Book

E loves his family picture book so much, so I decided to make one with the words he's saying so we can keep practicing. He loves it! An easy dollar general project!
