Laundry Room Change Holder

I'm horrible about checking pockets when I do laundry. And when I do remember, I throw change and stuff into a little plastic tub. I saw this idea on pinterest, and had all the supplies I needed. Thank goodness for a husband who keeps scraps of wood in the garage! I had an extra clamp from my key rack project. I used my cricut to cut the vinyl. Maybe now I'll remember to check pockets with my reminder by the washer!

Valentine's Day Cards

One of my goals for this year is to use the craft supplies that I have. I've had a box of blank cards in the closet for about 6 years now, and I've never had motivation to use them. Then I saw a cute idea for valentines on pinterest, and I remembered these cute pink striped cards with the white strip, ready to go and perfect for this project because it would hide the picture underneath the white strip. I used all supplies that I already had except the photos! Woohoo! I made 15 cards in all for daddy, cousins, grandparents, and great-grandparents. So cute.

The hardest part of this project was getting E to give me his hand to trace. For some reason he decided it was fun to run away every time I tried. The cutting wasn't a problem - I'm a teacher. I'm used to cutting things out in bulk!

Can't wait to get these in the mail!

Baby Blanket

I'm coming to terms with the fact that I'm having a girl! I have mostly boy fabric laying around, so it was helpful that my co-worker just had a baby girl so I could check out the girly fabrics! I love how this flannel rag quilt turned out  - especially the whale fabric! It's folded in half, so it's a good size. Someone made one like this for E and it has been my favorite, so I wanted to make one for Baby Bella! It was a quick project, done in a few hours (major plus!).

Frame

I absolutely loved how this picture of E and his "aunts" came out, so I had to make a frame for them.

Wooden Letters

These letters have been in my craft closet for probably 2 years, maybe 3! I finally got around to decorating them. I had all the scrapbook paper, and found the cute felt buttons at Wal-Mart! I was worried how it would look on my mantle with the red wall, but it actually looks decent in person! Hooray for finishing VERY old projects!

Christmas Card Book

I saw this all over pinterest and lots of blogs, and knew it would be perfect since I always save the cards. It was an easy project, made a little harder by my little helper who dumped the hole punch!

Grocery Bag Holder

This project has been on my list for,  well, 2 years. For Emmett's room, we keep grocery bags for dirty diapers. We had a bag holder made of old-fashioned floral fabric, and I always meant to make one that matched his blue and green room. It barely took me 30 minutes, and that's just because I couldn't find my thin white elastic. Hooray for crossing projects off my list!

Stuffed Animal Sleeping Bags

My nieces love stuffed animals, so I made them each a stuffed animal sleeping bag. Not my neatest sewing because I took shortcuts on the edges, but I think 2 little girls will be happy with them!

Edit: Here's a photo of it in action!

Sewing Saturday

I hadn't pulled the sewing machine out in quite a while. I absolutely had to get Christmas presents done for my nieces and nephew... I feel like the white rabbit - I'm late! I'm late! One of my presents is a car holder like the one I made for E. The other projects are in the next 2 posts!

Wall Quilt

I've had this done forever, it just needed to get on the wall. I had a space in the kitchen and I just wanted a simple quilt square to hang there. I love the colors, they match the kitchen well!
