Adult-Sized Rag Blankets

After seeing a baby blanket I made for a co-worker, two of my other co-workers decided they wanted one too. We went shopping for fabric and I got these done the first week after school. It's so much fun to see people love something I make! I really love how they both turned out.

Rag Quilt

My kids LOVE their flannel rag quilts. I love them too, because they wash well and they're the perfect thickness for every season. My son has caught me (many times) using his blanket if it's sitting on the couch. So I decided it was time for mommy to have a blanket. I decided to try squares. I like it, but in hindsight I would have worked out some sort of strip pattern but adult size. The seams are bulky in the corners of the squares. But, it works and I love the colors.

Baby Blanket

I wanted to make a blanket for my old friend whose sweet little micro-premie baby was finally going to get to come home after months in the hospital. I made her a flannel rag blanket, because they're my favorites.
